Traditional uses and edible parts show up on species that include them. Toxicity is its own read on the card, not a vague warning badge.
It is the same catalog behind plant identification. Identification is the on-ramp, not a separate toy.
Who it is toxic for
A pretty leaf is not a safety rating. The species card shows who a plant is toxic for — cats, dogs, and people — when we have the data, including which parts and how serious it is.
When a species is explicitly non-toxic for an audience, we say that too. Filter the catalog for plants that are toxic to — or safe for — cats or dogs instead of guessing from a forum thread.
This is a catalog signal, not a vet. Use it as a starting point next to plant identification and the plant in your home.
From species card to your shelf
Confirm a match or pick a species when you add a plant. Care basics land on that pot instead of living in a bookmark you never open.
Watering reminders can start from catalog hints. You still tighten the interval as your home actually dries out.
The light meter tells you what a shelf delivers; the species card tells you what the plant wanted in the first place.
